Wow, if there's one word to describe this post, it's OVERDUE. So without anymore delays!
On to the 2nd part of our Trilogy. CHARACTER!
We often hear people say phrases like "his character is like that" or "she's just like that". Obviously our character defines who we are to the people around us. But more importantly, our character defines the thing we do. Take for example, a person who is lazy will not put his best into what he is doing, and in most cases, end up with something less then desired. Thus the world defines good character with attributes such as 'hardworking', 'helpful', 'pro-active', etc etc.
But let us look in the Bible to see the characters that God desire in us.
In Psalms 147:10-11 It says "10 His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor His delight in the legs of a man;11 the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in His unfailing love."
God is delighted by the character of those who's hope rest in Him, and who has the fear of the Lord in their hearts.
And in Matthew 6:33 "33But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
God wants us to seek Him first before anything else!
What!? so God doesn't love hardworking people? No! He does, but what He wants is for our hearts to be focused on Him, to be followers of His Word, and not the world. In fact, if our hearts are totally for God, we will be diligent in what ever we do, because we know we are working for the glory of God, and not just being hardworking and finding ourselves at a dead end.
Let us pray for every member of YPM to develop a character that is wholly after God's heart, a generation of people who will be righteous before God!

Identity
Hello guys and gals!
Today will be the first post of a 3 part post touching on Identity, Character and Destiny.
For our 1st post, we will look at Identity. Specifically our Identity in Christ! Lets take a look a King David, a man who was after God's heart. Let us look at 1 Samuel 17:36-37
36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you."
We can see from this passage that David knew his identity in God, he knew that the Israelites were God's people and that God was the one who was watching over them. In the following few verses, David went on to do something nobody else dared to do, the stuff of legends, he went to face off goliath in a 1v1 showdown. David proceeded to strike the giant down with his sling, and killed the giant. All this wouldn't have been possible if David didn't know who he was in God. When we know who we are and where we stand in Christ, we can achieve great things!
Let us now turn to the book of Romans to read up on our Identity in Christ. You can find verses that tell us our Identity in Christ throughout the whole book of Romans, but today we will focus on a few verses in Chapter 8.
Romans 8:15-16
15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
Romans 8:37-39
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
WOW! Powerful verses, when you know who you are in Christ, we are set free!
Let us Pray for a deeper understanding of our Identity in Christ in YPM, that they will be a people who catch God's vision for them, to claim back a generation that is lost, to go out in strength to proclaim the Lord's glory in every area of their lives! AMEN!

Closing to Zero Hour
Hi all!
Yup, it's been a busy bad ugly week for me so far, I hope yours have been much better...
Okay! So back on focus, well done Camp Com for 100% attendance and selling shirts like hotcakes! (I like them hotcakes! We should all go for breakfast meeting someday!) As we all know, the countdown's getting closer everyday, and our dear leader chairman have already went up in front of the whole YPM to share on the camp theme, it seems that exciting times are ahead! The three pointers for the camp are, Identity, Character and Destiny, well, it's one thing to know what is written about these points in the Bible, but it's another thing to experience the Rhema word of God, therefore I urge you, brothers, to Pray and meditate on our Camp theme and aims!
Be filled so that others can be Blessed by the overflow of our hearts!
Looking forward to camp meeting!
Have a Blessed week! =D

Prelude to the weekend!
Well, I was waiting for the bus home today, and it was late, yes I left work late and wasn't too happy about it. But I guess God chose this weird time to talk to me, and He just said "What do you expect to see from this camp". Hmmmm, so what do I expect God to do in this camp? I honestly didn't have an answer, I've been caught up in so many other stuff that I didn't even think about how I expected God to move in this camp. Of course we all expect God to move during the camp, but how much? What is the magnitude in which I expect to see my God work? How much is my yearning to see Him touch lives that are in need of Him? Is my expectations limiting what God can do? That will not do! I want to expect my God to move like a mighty wind in the camp, I want my God to move even the hardest of hearts, I want my God to bring life into the lives of the campers, I want to see all the campers say "I choose you Lord this day!", I want to share in the vision that God has for us!
How much do you expect God?
How much do you expect God?

The Lord is my Provider!
=]
I wanna Thank God for giving me STRENGTH to last the hectic weekend, whew! Chasing kids, standing in front of YPM, it's a miracle I tell you a miracle, ha ha!
This week has really got me thinking about the things that we accomplish with our lives/time, there always seems to be a lack of time for everything, ministry, work, friends, 'me' time. It's weird that sometimes the more we try to fit into our schedule the less we can accomplish.
Let us look at Romans 4 which tells us beautifully how Abraham against all logic had a son with Sarah. The passage states in verse 21 that Abraham was fully persuaded that God had the power to deliver what He had promised, and Abraham's faith was credited to him as righteousness. It was not by works that Abraham could achieve anything, and yet God Blessed Abraham just because he believed.
Our accomplishments and works are secondary to our hearts, what God desires is for us to have FAITH in Him. Let us pray for YPM on the whole, too long have we went through seasons of highs and lows between camps. Let us pray for every YPM member to turn their eyes to Jesus to see that He is not just one way for them to live their lives, but He is the ONLY way.
Theres so much more I just cannot put into words here, plus I'm not here to preach (not qualified maybe). So lets pray for our campers and our ministry, let us Pray Until Something Happens for a renewed Passion and an empowered life.
Remember, Destiny is not for today, it's forever.
God Loves You!

It's been sooo long
Hi peeps! Some people say I write like a girl! But anyway, yes it's been almost a week without a post, but no, i haven't forgotten! =) Big hi to eefoo and ling thanks for dropping by and for praying!
Ok, just wanna share some stuff I read this week.
Proverbs 9:1-6
1 Wisdom has built her house;
she has hewn out its seven pillars.
'The simple life' well, seems to me like a certain miss hilton didn't like the simple life very much, neither should we really. That's because the simple life here refers to a life without the understanding of God, a life that is mindless and without purpose. Our aim for the camp is to help the campers find their purpose, their destiny in Christ, thus for the prayer pointer this week, let us pray for the campers to grow in the knowledge of God and His plans for us, that their lives will be transformed, so that they may truly LIVE!
P.S I promise to post more often. =D
P.P.S Theres a Spiritual Milk camp on from this Friday to Sunday, do appreciate if you could help pray that the P6 kids feel at home in YPM, and for the weather too, we want them to have a really fun experience. Thank you all!

Proverbs 9:1-6
1 Wisdom has built her house;
she has hewn out its seven pillars.
2 She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine;
she has also set her table.
3 She has sent out her maids, and she calls
from the highest point of the city.
4 "Let all who are simple come in here!"
she says to those who lack judgment.
5 "Come, eat my food
and drink the wine I have mixed.
6 Leave your simple ways and you will live;
walk in the way of understanding.

2nd Post already!
And I check my email and yes! A prayer request already! Me so happy :)
Ok, back to serious mode.
This 1st prayer request is from Calvin, and his request is for us to pray for his meeting with Glenn Lim this coming Tuesday 14/10/08. They will be meeting up to discuss the camp sermons, so let us pray for the presence of God to be with them during the discussion, and for Calvin to have the assurance and wisdom to know what to say and do during the meeting. Lets also pray that the meeting will be a blessing to the both of them, and the Camp!
Jia You Calvin!
